Sometimes we go through difficult seasons that challenges our perspective and our faith in God. At times frustration begins to knock at our hearts door to bring weariness to our soul. When we look around we see everyone moving through life showing signs of prosperity and abundance. What do you do? Do you give up and follow your own pursuits? Or do you hang in there?
I challenge you to hang in the rough seas of life. Facing stormy waters doesn't mean you get out of the boat, simply reposition your sail and wait it out. In everything there is a season and a time for every purpose under the heavens, Ecclesiastes 3:1. These words by Solomon speak to the heart that is patient and understands all too well what it means to experience difficult seasons in his life. God has a purpose and a plan for every season that you are in. We can tread the high waters of life with him or we can remain in our low place. God is able to do exceedingly and abundantly great works in our lives. When we remain in faith and trust in him, we will experience the end that he has in mind.
Trusting the process can be difficult but the process is a plan to develop our tenacity to endure and to persevere to the end. I have had experiences in my life where I have given up to soon, where I have made decisions that turn out to be more detrimental to my life. Today, I am learning to hang in there no matter what. God's plan is wise and we dear not be wise in our own eyes according to Proverbs 3:7.
Is there a season that you can't wait to come to an end? Seasons are designed to teach us. Ask, "What am I to learn from my circumstances?" Yes, it's frustrating and at times take longer than we desire. Hang in there. God knows best for our lives and is able to do abundantly above all that we can imagine. Let us not grow weary but be patient with the process.
Father, we acknowledge that there are times when we become weary during difficult seasons. We know that your plan is wise and your ways are not our ways. Help us to acknowledge that you have an end in my and you are working all things out for our good in Jesus name amen.
